To me, this cake resembles Christmas fruit cake which I am not a fan of
What's good is, this is the better version! I, the 'not into fruit cake in Christmas' person, did enjoy eating this cake! :)
I didn't have bourbon or whisky in stock, so I just used dark rum. And I used toasted walnuts instead of pecan. I mixed golden raisins and chopped dates, soaked them in rum before use. And for cranberries, I used frozen

ReplyDeleteLike you, I am not a fan of Christmas fruit cake, as usually there would be too many fruits in the cake. But this cake is really nice, very moist and I like it. I''ve used a mixture of raisins and cranberries, which is really nice.

You are not a fan of Christmas fruitcake? I am the weird one. I actually like it a lot ha ha. I like any type of dry fruits in cakes and I bet I am going to like this too :)
